We have different ways for how your accountant can view your data, Danny.

If you're using QuickBooks Online, you can grant access to your accountant to view your QuickBooks data. For QB desktop, you can send an accountant's copy so they can make changes to your books.

I'll list the following steps below on how you can do this on both platforms.

In QBO, you can follow this guide:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin.
  2. Go to Settings, then select Manage users.
  3. Select the Accountants or Accounting firms tab.
  4. Enter your accountant’s email address, then select Invite.

To view your tax estimate here's how:

  1. On the left panel, select Taxes.
  2. Then, select Income Tax.

For QBDT, you can take these steps on how to send a copy:

  1. Go to the File menu and select Send Company File.
  2. Then select Accountant's Copy and choose Client Activities.
  3. Select Save File and then Next.
  4. Select Accountant's Copy and then Next.
  5. Enter the dividing date. Then select Next.

To further clarify, can you provide which product you're using? Is your accountant using TurboTax Desktop to file your taxes? Any information can help me provide the best resolution to your issue.

Moreover, I've added these articles to help you manage your financial reports on both platforms:

If there are features and processes in QBO or QBDT that you need help with, please let me know. I'm always here to help. Have a good one.

Ask your accountant. Are they using TurboTax Desktop to file your tax?
