Thanks for such a thorough guide.
Unfortunately I only use it for invoicing, so my profit & loss shows all zeros. Is there really no other way?
Thanks for updating us on this, chrisclark2577. I know it can be challenging when you can't pull up the needed data. I'm here to help you with that.
As of now, QuickBooks Self-Employed doesn't have a receivable or payable type of report. At the moment, the program only offers these reports:
- Mileage log
- Profit and Loss
- Business and personal expenses
- Receipts
- Tag Totals
- Tax summary
As a workaround, I'd suggest exporting each invoice as a PDF. Then, combine them in Excel to get the desired income summary report.
Here's how to export your invoices:
- Go to the Invoices menu.
- Filter the 2021 invoices.
- Under the Action column, click the drop-down icon.
- Click Export as PDF.
- Repeat the process for all your 2021 invoices.
To learn more about managing your sales transactions, please see this article: Create Invoices.
Additionally, I've included this article that'll help you learn more about the offered features in the program: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.
