How can I get rid of my unbilled income?

Hi all!

When I transitioned from QB desktop to QB online I got a lot of unbilled income.

Is there a way I can clear those without having to go one by one and unchecking the billable button? (there are thousand of these)

Thank you

I appreciate you joining us in the Community, Rafa.

Currently, there isn't a way to batch uncheck the billable button in QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, I can help by sending your suggestion to our product engineers to implement this feature in the future.

During migration, reimbursable expenses and unbilled time will move as Billable expenses in QBO. If you plan to invoice to your customer for the time activity or expenses you've incurred, you can choose to add them to your invoices. However, if those are regular bill or expense transactions, the best way proceed is to individually uncheck the billable button. This is to ensure the accuracy of your financial reports as well.

However, I understand that the software needs to accommodate various business needs, specifically, to have the function to batch uncheck unbilled income to remove them from the Customers' transaction lists page. Your experience highlights where the software can improve. Here's how you can send suggestions to our product engineers:

  1. In your QBO account, go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.

If you email receipts to QBO, the software will create a transaction for you to review. You can use this option to manage your billable expenses. Let me add this article as a guide: Email receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.
