I have the steps where you can get the link, projectshopvilla.

When you're done creating the invoice, you can open it again and follow the steps below to get the link:

  1. Go to Sales > Customers.
  2. Select the customer's name on the list.
  3. Find and open the invoice.
  4. In the Invoice page, click the drop-down arrow next to the Save and close.
  5. Choose Save and share link.
  6. Click the Copy link button in the Send your customer a link to their invoice window. Then paste and send it via text or any other messaging platform.

Here's a sample screenshot for a visual reference:

Having the same struggle.  I make sales through social media channels.  Today I did get a new prompt when going to invoicing saying it is now easier to share link directly with quickbooks and copy for social media.  However your screenshot doesn't match what I'm seeing.  I just get the error: "Please add the customer's email address to share this invoices's link."  No other option to copy link.

I'd be happy to help you how to get the invoice link in QuickBooks Online, @brownswoodworking.

You may need to enter a dummy email or your customer's email so that the option to get the link will be activated. This way, you can share it on social media with no sweat!

I've replicated your concern to show you why you're getting that error message:

As you can see, when you put an email in the text box, the option to get the link will be available.

Now that you're ready to share the invoice through social media, you may consider checking this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online. This contains tips and steps on how you can beautify your sales forms to get more sales!

Let me know if you have other questions. It will be my pleasure to help you further. Have a good one and wishing your business more profit this year onward!

You need a 3rd party app to do so.

I use this feature often to copy the invoice link and paste in an email to my client. I have had no problems until now.

Whenever I click the 'Save and Share Link' button in the bottom of the invoice, it saves the invoice but does not give me a link. Please help.

Links and pages not showing up after clicking a button can be caused by browser settings or other technical issues that are affecting your experience, howdynashvillefoodscapes. I'm here to help so you can successfully obtain the link you need to share with your customers.

First, make sure the pop-up windows aren't being blocked. This is to make sure that nothing is stopping any essential windows or links from appearing when working in QBO.

Follow the steps in these articles, depending on the browser that you're using:

Additional details about this are also discussed here: Why doesn't anything happen when I select a button or link?

Just in case you can't still get the link even if the settings are already disabled, the next troubleshooting step is to clear Intuit-related cache and cookies that can be causing the issue. Let me share these articles as your guide:

After that, please log back into your account and check if you can get a link after clicking the Share Link button.
