HOW CAN I SEARCH FOR CLOSED ESTIMATES

I sometimes need to reference estimates that have already been invoiced to a customer. How do I search for those? In my QBO, these do not appear in the universal search or the advanced search. I have to go to the customer and look for it manually which can be very time consuming and frustrating.

Welcome to the Community space, @vbrown1960.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), there are two ways to locate an estimate with closed status. Option one would be to go to the Estimate section and click the Status button to choose Closed, converted. Another way to see estimates with closed status would be to run the Estimates by Customer report. We'll be happy to write down the steps to make it easier for you to review your estimates inside the program.

For option one, here's how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to the Sales tab.
  3. Select Estimates.
  4. Click the dropdown arrow below the Status section.
  5. Choose Closed, converted.

You can check the screenshot below for visual reference.

These are the steps using the run report method:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, select the Reports tab.
  3. In the search bar, enter Estimates by Customers. If you're using the new report view, click the Switch to classic view option.
  4. Click the Customize button, and go to the Filter section.
  5. Tick the box beside Estimate Status, and then click the dropdown button to select Closed.

In addition, you can check this page to help you track transactions and add more details to your report to highlight other aspects of your business inside the program:
