How can I see the history of each time I emailed an invoice? All I can see on the screen is Last Delivery.

I am looking to tell my customer the first and second time her invoice was emailed to her. She is disputing the late fee, and I want to look up all the previous times I emailed the invoice.

Good to see you here, @sga3. I can guide you to see the history of your emailed invoices.

We have to simply open the invoice and see the Audit History. It will show the date and time you emailed an invoice to your customer.

Here's how:

  1. From QuickBooks Online, go to the Sales tab and then select the Customers section.
  2. Click the name of the client whose invoice you'd like to know the email history.
  3. Search and select the invoice from the list.
  4. From the invoice page, click More at the bottom and select Audit History.
  5. View that date and the status next to the Sent field.

I've also added this resource to guide you on how to receive and record invoice payments.

You'll want to personalize and add specific info to sales forms. Please refer to this article for more info: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

That's it! Let me know in the comment section if you need more help in managing invoices in QuickBooks. I'll be around to help. Have a wonderful day.

I see options for online but nothing for Desktop. Only option I can think of is add my own email address to every customer but I have a few thousand. That be crazy.

Welcome to the Community, @Reefseeker.

Hope you're having a great week! There's a way to view sent out invoices in QuickBooks Desktop and it only takes a few clicks. You can go to the Sent Email tab in the Customer Information window. It has all the information you need, including the date, invoice number, and who sent it.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Customer menu and then select Customer Center.
  2. Choose the customer.
  3. In the Customer Information window, select the Sent Email tab.

Using this tab, you'll be able to identify which invoices were delivered. Once you get the payment, record it in QuickBooks. If you're using QuickBooks Payments, it processes the payment and categorizes it into the correct account.

I'd be happy to help you again in the future. Feel free to visit us if you need any more help. I'm determined to ensure your success!
