QuickBooks' location tracking feature allows you to assign locations to transactions, customers, vendors, and employees. This helps you better understand how your business performs in different areas and makes creating reports specific to certain locations easier. With location tracking, you can filter your transactions by location, making finding and organizing your data easier. 

Please note: This feature is only available for QuickBooks Online Plus and QuickBooks Online Advanced.

Before setting up the location feature, you'll have to turn on the track locations first; here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Account and Settings.
2. Choose Advanced.
3. In the Categories section, tap the Edit icon.
4. Enable the checkbox to track locations.
5. Click Save, then Done.

Once you're done, enable the location tracking. Then, we can add the state you want. Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon, then select All lists.
2. Choose Locations.
3. Tap New, then add the Name of the location you want to track.
4. Click Save and close.

Once location tracking is enabled, you can create and assign location tags to transactions such as invoices, bills, and expenses. This allows you to generate location-based reports that better understand how each location performs financially.
