Hi there.

Let me provide you with information about QuickBooks, which only shows your bank's last three months of transactions. It depends on the bank up to when they're going to upload transactions to QuickBooks Online. On average, banks only allow up to 90 days of bank transactions to upload to QBO.

In this case, I have a workaround to upload your transactions for this year. You'll need to request bank transactions from your bank that cover the whole year and then upload them to QBO.

Here's how to get transactions from your bank:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions for how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps.
  3. Check the date range for the download. It should be at least one day before the date of your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.

Next, we'll have to upload to QBO, here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under Tools section, select the Import Data.
  3. Click Bank Data.
  4. Drag and drop or upload the file by clicking select files.

After you have downloaded your bank transactions, you'll need to choose the appropriate bank account to upload the transactions into. You may also consider excluding those transactions that has already been uploaded to your QBO account.

Furthermore, after uploading and categorizing the transactions, here's an article to learn how to reconcile your bank account to QuickBooks Online: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have further questions about bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. I'm always here to assist you.

You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.

I think I am dealing with a similar issue.  I am missing 3.5 months of expense recording for the last few months of 2023.  Did the recommendation work?  Were you able to bring the expenses over to QB from your banking info?

Thanks for any encouragement as I think I may have to do this.  ugh
