How do I add a shipping carrier to QBO.? The help instructions are flawed.

QBO help instructions;
•  Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
•  Go to Commerce, then select Shipping. 
•  Select Create shipping label. 
There isn't a "Create Shipping label" option.Only Buy shipping label.

Adding a shipping carrier directly on your QuickBooks Online (QBO) is important, Rob. This is to efficiently choose directly from the application the best carriers for your business.

 

Currently, the option to add these carriers directly in QBO is unavailable. However, Intuit is partnered with ShipEngine to integrate with our software to allow business owners to create shipping labels and manage payment processing for their connected carriers.

 

To do that, we'll need to set up your company file to connect with ShipEngine:

 

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online company as an admin.
  2. From the left navigation pane, click the Commerce menu.
  3. Select the Shipping tab, and click the Buy shipping label.
  4. Click the Connect button and enter the necessary information.
  5. Tap the Get shipping rates, and review the provided shipping options.
  6. To add your carrier, select Add carrier.
  7. Click Review and buy. On the checkout page, complete the details needed and hit Set up.
  8. Then, press Continue and set up your carriers.
