How do I add another phone number to Bill Pay verification?

Currently the verification code is sent to my phone. My co-worker needs to be able to receive a verification code when using Bill Pay when I am out of the office. How do I add a number, or change it to our shared email?

I'm here to help you in changing the phone number associated with your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account so that your co-worker will receive a verification code when using Bill Pay.

You can make changes to your accounts from the Intuit Account Manager page. You can log into your QBO account or sign in to the account manager.

Please note that your QuickBooks account is linked to all your Intuit products. Any changes you make will affect all of your Intuit products.

Whenever you're ready, here's how to log into the account manager while using QBO:

Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
Go to your Profile icon next to the Gear icon.
Select Manage your Intuit Account. It opens the Intuit Account Manager.
Go to the Sign-in & security menu.
Select the Phone section.
Click the Change link beside your old phone number.
Make your changes. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process
Select Save.

To sign in to the account manager, go to the Intuit Account Manager Sign-in page and use your QuickBooks sign-in information. Then, follow the last five steps above to complete the process.

On the other hand, if you need to update the phone number on your sales forms in QBO, you can do so by going to the Company menu in the Account and Settings page. For complete details, you can refer to this article. Change your business name, contact info, or EIN in QuickBooks Online.

I don’t think you answered the question. I have the same question. If I’m out of the office (and not logged in to QuickBooks Online) and a coworker wants to use QuickBooks online, how do they use their phone number to do two factor authentication to log into the company file?

Each user in a QuickBooks Online (QBO) company has their own Intuit account linked to a phone number. This is the number they enter in their account and will be used to verify their identity when they log in to any QBO company they are part of. Therefore, all your coworker needs to do is add their phone number to their Intuit account.

To add a phone number to the Intuit account:

Go to the Intuit account sign-in page and sign in.
Click Sign in & security.
Select on 2-step verification.
In the Verification methods section, choose Set up for the Phone number, and follow the onscreen process to finish the setup.

About adding another phone number for the bill payment schedule using Bill Pay, that option is not available. Only the primary admin's phone number can be added.
