Welcome to the Community, FSegrest.

To verify my understanding, which type of custom report are you working with and what type of data are you wanting to show on it?

Once I have this information, I can do further research and see what options are available.

I'll be looking forward to your reply. Have a great Wednesday!

I am working in custom report builder under the add columns option. I want a simple report that shows income ($) by customer with invoice date, customer name and parent company. Unfortunately, parent company is not on the list of columns to add.

Thank you for coming back to this thread, @FSegrest.

While viewing the customers list that contains the sub-customer Bill with Parent Field is unavailable in QuickBooks Online, we can still generate the Transaction List by Customer report. This will show all the transactions associated with parent and sub-customers as long as the parent-customer is turned on.

Allow me to guide you through:

  1. Go to Sales.
  2. Choose the Customers name.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Scroll down and below on the Name to Print, check the box below that says "Is a sub customer".
  5. Enter a Parent customer.
  6. Hit Save.

After this, you can follow the steps below on how to generate the Transaction List by Customer report:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Search the Transaction list by Customer.
  3. Switch to classic view.
  4. Click Customize.
  5. Choose everything you need on the Rows/Columns.
  6. Hit Run report.

I've also added these screenshots for your visual reference.
