Question

How do I adjust the Right and Left Outer Margins of Reports when I print to PDF?

The default margins for the reports appears to be .5" and most printers cut off the edges when they are printed. How do I adjust the right and left margins to expand them to a more standard 1" margin?

Hi there, @MLK24.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community page. I'd be glad to assist you in adjusting your exported report's margin.

The feature to adjust margins in QBO isn't directly possible. However, I have a workaround that can help you achieve this. After exporting the report to a PDF file, adjust the margins using Acrobat Reader or any PDF editor software.

You can edit the margins by heading to a page layout of your PDF editor software and adjusting the margins manually.

Additionally, you can customize your reports before exporting to have personalized reports in QuickBooks Online.

Please don't hesitate to reply in the comments below. I'm here to assist you with any reports or concerns you may have.

Thank you.  I'll give this a shot.  So strange that QB would set the margins so small.  Appreciate your quick response.
