How do i applied a change order to a job?

I created an estimate, I invoiced my client and now they want additional work. now I need to create a change order. Can someone please help?

Change orders are usually amendment contracts that get signed.  I work with a contractor, I usually just adjust the estimate and create a new one with the changes.  So if a client decides to upgrade the flooring, I create a new estimate with the additional cost and have the client sign off on.  If it is a deduction, you can deduct from the estimate and have the client sign off on again.  Progress invoicing should be fine if you're using as long as you didn't already invoice and collect the money, then you need to create a credit.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't offer a formal form specifically designed for outlining changes to the original scope of work agreed upon in a contract or estimate. Allow me to provide you with a certain solution for this scenario, Rafael15.
 
You can void the invoice to ensure it doesn't impact your account balances and financial reports. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Sales, then select All sales.
  2. Locate the invoice you wish to void.
  3. In the Action column, click the dropdown, then select Void.

Once you've voided the invoice, you can edit the original estimate to include the additional work. After making your changes, update the status of the estimate to Pending so that you can resend it to your client for approval. I've added a screenshot for your visual guide:
