Question

How do I assign and use multiple L&I class codes to one employee? Some use multiple codes in a pay period so just one does not track or calculate the proper withholdings

When setting up my employees for payroll I am allowed to assign only one code to be active for the L&I withholdings. My employees do a mix of hours between both roofing classification and carpentry classification, so a single code does not withhold and calculate the proper taxes. How do I change this or address it?

Hello there, bnichols4583. I can see the convenience you need to utilize the multiple class codes per employee in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Presently, using multiple class codes isn't a supported feature by QuickBooks. However, you may use or add additional pay types to track the two different work categories.
