Hi there, @mattm.

To attach an image to an estimate or an invoice in QuickBooks Online is very easy. Please follow these steps below.

  1. Select the Plus icon.
  2. Choose Estimate or an Invoice.
  3. Enter the needed information.
  4. At the bottom left of the page, select Attachments.
  5. Browse and select the file you want to attach, then click to open.
  6. Select to Save and send.

You can also add or attach an image to any transactions you have. Here’s how:

  1.     Open the desired transaction.
  2.     From the bottom left, select Attachments.
  3.     Browse and select the document you want to attach.
  4.     Select Open, then Save and close.

That's it. You now know how to add attachments in QuickBooks Online. You can also check this article for additional information on how to view all uploaded attachments:Attachments in QuickBooks Online.

Don’t hesitate to reach us again if you need additional assistance. I’ll be here anytime. Have a great day!

When you attach an image or file in an estimate, when you send the email it does note seem to organize these attachments in a specific order I have tired numbering the files or adding the files as I would like them organized in the email and each time they send in a random order. How can I organize these attachments.

I'd like to share how it works, 1231 4573 0795 804.

QuickBooks Online organizes the attachments randomly. We're unable to change or organize them by alphabet or numbers.

You may want to send feedback. It will help us know your insights and ideas. Just click the Gear icon and select Feedback.

I'll add an article on how to convert an estimate into an invoice once your customers approve the quote.

Invoice is being sent, but no attachment when viewing from the customer end.  Attachment is there when I review before sending, but not attached when email is delivered.  Why can't I view the attachments with my invoices?

You've joined the right thread, Jean. I'll gladly show you how to ensure attachments are sent and accessible
to your customers in their invoices.

After adding your file from the Add Attachment section when creating an invoice, you'll need to tick the Attach to email box to show the attachment when you send it to your customer email.

Also, to ensure the attachment is accessible and sent with the invoice, tick the Show full details in email option and place a checkmark on the PDF Attached box from the Online Delivery section.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Sales tab.
  3. Scroll down and click Online Delivery.
  4. Tick the Show full details in email and PDF Attached.

  5. After that, click Save, then Done.

For more details about the different file types that you can attach to QuickBooks transactions, together with things you need to know when emailing them, you can read this article: What transactions can keep attachments?

I'll also share this article to help personalize your sales form: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

In case you need further assistance sending invoices with attachments inside the program, you can also post them here again. We'll make sure to get back to you right away. Take care, and have a nice day!
