How do I change the cost of goods on a product?

To change the COGS account associated with an item in QuickBooks Online, you can follow these steps:

1. Log in as admin to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. From the left navigation menu, click on the Sales tab, then choose Products and Services.
3. Locate the inventory item for which you want to change the COGS account and click on Edit in the ACTION column.
4. In the Product/Service information window, scroll down until you see the Expense account drop-down.
   
5. Select the account, then hit Save and close.
