I'll share some steps to help you locate and update journal entries to keep your record accurate.

 

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can edit your journal entries to correct mistakes and avoid discrepancies during the reconciliation process. Here's how:

 

  1. Within your QBO file, click on the Search (magnifying glass) icon at the top right corner of your screen.
  2. Select Go to transactions search at the lower part of the search window.
  3. From the Transaction type dropdown, choose Journal. You can also use the remaining filters to get precise results.
  4. Locate and click on the transaction that you need to update.
  5. Once on the Journal Entry page, make all the necessary changes.
  6. Click on Save and close.

 

On the other hand, you can also locate your entries from the +New button. From there, choose Journal entry and click the Recent icons from the upper left corner. You can select View More to display a list of all the transactions.
