How do I create an Quotation form style?

I created a new quotation form style from an existing 'Estimate' form style, made desired changes & changed the name to 'Quotation'.  When I select 'New Transaction' the new Quotation form style is not available - just the default form styles from QBO.  QBO is having my use the 'New Form Style', which I can switch back to the old, but don't know the different or impact on my records or interface, also want to see if the problem can be fixed before changing back to the old form style.

Welcome to the Community space, Shane. Allow me to provide helpful information about the custom form styles in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When you edit a custom form style, it usually stays when you save it. Since this isn't the case, we may need to take some browser troubleshooting steps to see if this is a browser-related issue. Let's start opening an incognito or private browser window. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts for the most popular browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once you have opened the browser window, log in to your QuickBooks account and customize your form style. If it stays, proceed to clear your browser's cache. This process removes and fixes specific issues and helps the program run flawlessly. Additionally, you can use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.

Moreover, the difference in your style formats will not affect your data but will only affect the way it is displayed. Also, sort this out first before changing or returning to the old form style.

Once your customer approves the estimate, you can send them an invoice and record their payments afterward.

Let me know if you have further queries about your sales forms. I'll be here to provide a helping hand. Have a great day.
