How do i edit a category / sub category i created?

for example: i created a category that is listed under Business expenses on my profit and loss report. However i need it to be listed under Payroll expense

Changing the category or subcategory in QuickBooks Online is an easy process, vf-transportatio.

 

You can modify it by accessing the Chart of accounts. Let me guide you through the steps.

 

  1. Go to the Settings icon and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Locate the Business expense you've created.
  3. Under the Action column, click the arrow.
  4. Choose Edit.
  5. In the Tax form section, select Payroll Expenses.
  6. Click Save.
