How do I enter a starting check number when creating a new checking account for MAC QuickBooks 2011?

Never worked with MAC and it's quite different from Windows....when I go to create a new bank account there is NO prompt for entering starting check number (which has been the case with Windows). How do I set the stating check number sequence on the new bank account?
My other issue is one bank account was started with wrong check number....how do I change the check number sequence to reflect the true check numbers (right now I have to go into check register and manually change each check number....and that's a pain when I just printed 50 checks).

Any info would be Highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Melody

On your first entry, keeping in mind that where ever that was is the only place it is corrected.

and that's a pain when I just printed 50 checks

Correct this sequence from the print window.

When I print the check either in print check section or I use to be printed section and asign check numbers, Quickbooks will ask me if check number abc printed correctly. The problem is the check number abc is NOT the one I assigned from either section and if you press yes....it assignes the abc# Not the one I originally wanted. If I press no, it puts the bill back into "waiting to print" and the cycle starts over.
When you say "Print window" is that after you write the check and I gives you a preview of how the check will look and you click print?
