I can provide you with the steps on how you can enter these estimated tax payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can write checks to record these quarterly estimated tax payments in your QBO. Here's how:

  1. Go to + New, then click Check.
  2. From the Payee ▼ dropdown, choose who you want to address the check to.
  3. From the Bank Account  dropdown, select the account you want the money to come from.
  4. Fill out the rest of the fields accordingly.
  5. Pick Save and Close.

If you find yourself managing a lot of these types of transactions regularly, you can consider using QuickBooks Self-Employed. It’s specifically designed to help freelancers, independent contractors, and small business owners handle estimated tax payments, track expenses, and simplify tax time. Also, you can file your Schedule C along with your annual tax return (1040).

I'm adding this article you can use to help plan ahead for many common tax situations in the future: Automatically estimate your income tax in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to explore QuickBooks Self-Employed further to see if it fits your needs. If you have more questions about your estimated tax payments in QBO or require further assistance, don't hesitate to ask. Best regards.
