What TF has QB changed the invoice formats.

I appreciate you for posting here, Jon.

I see how challenging on your end to change the invoice form to the usual one your company used to have. I'll help you utilize it so you can perform your task smoothly.

You can still use the invoice custom form set up for your company in the Design section of the invoice form layout. Here's how:

  1. Click the + New icon and select Invoice.
  2. Go to the Manage tab.
  3. Pick Design and choose the invoice form in the Other templates section.
  4. Then, fill in your invoice.

For more info about the updated estimates and invoice layout, check out this article: See what’s new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.

Also, I'll share this article to help prepare customer's summaries of their invoices, payments, credits, and balances: Create and send customer statements in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have additional questions about managing your invoice form. I'll be willing to help. Keep safe always.

But WHY do I have to redesign perfectly functional Invoice formats for the convenience of QuickBooks.

I have my accounts team researching alternative platforms to QB where we can expect continuity and not have to expand time and energy and wasted resources because the platform decides to do an ill thought out update.

The forum feedback should be a cluse to QB that this is NOT a popular change

@jonharding When Quickbooks was first rolling out the new invoices last year, the customer backlash was so fierce that Quickbooks decided to delay it and reinstated the Old Layout button for a while. Yet, they continued to communicate they they were still committed to forcing all users to the new layout. That's when our company also decided that it was time to research other accounting software options that would give us stability.

Freshbooks, Xero, Wave, Netsuite (obviously), and Taxdome all had features that are useful and at better prices. Please share which you've found works for your team.
