I appreciate the screenshot you've provided, @deepti3_1.

Regarding the steps that are shared above, they apply to QBO Canada (CA). However, the option to import journal entries may be a great way to save time and reduce manual errors, is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online United States (US). But don't worry, there's a workaround for this. You can explore third-party apps to import JE as a workaround.

You can check for supported apps through this link: QuickBooks Apps Store or from the Apps menu.

Here's how:

  1. In QBO, go to the Apps menu at the left pane to get to the Finds Apps page.
  2. Enter a keyword in the Search address (i.e. import).
  3. Select the app you want to use.
  4. Click Get app now.

You would see several third-party apps available that can help you import data into QBO. These apps provide additional functionalities, such as data validation and advanced mapping options, to enhance your importing experience.

I would also note that having this option could be helpful for your business. Our Product Engineers are always looking for ideas to improve QBO, and we encourage collaboration with our customers to identify areas for improvement.

Furthermore, if you want to see the list of what you can import to QBO, refer to this article: Move your lists to QuickBooks Online.

If there's anything more I can help you about managing journal entries, just let me know by leaving a comment below or posting again. Have a great day ahead.

Hi deepti3_1,

The information provided by 4Gal provides the information you need, to successfully import your journal entries seamlessly.  I would just like to add, that you can download a sample file from QuickBooks Online, to get a full view of the required elements for a smooth transition.  Here's how;

1. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Import Data

2. Click on the Journal Entries tile

3. Hit the link to Download an example

Note;  Ensure there are no empty columns, or blank lines on your spreadsheet.

4. Prepare your spreadsheet and save it where it's easy to locate

5. Proceed with the import process.

Please don't hesitate to reach back out with other questions.  We are always happy to help!
