We're glad you've contacted us about using a three-part check stock when printing checks for bill payments in QuickBooks Online, candd.

I'll provide the steps and troubleshooting guidance to help with the alignment issues.

Before we begin, please ensure you have the latest version of the Adobe application installed on your computer. QBO uses this software when printing transactions.

For detailed instructions, please refer to this article and support link from the Adobe website:

Next, follow these steps on how to fine-tune the check alignment:

  1. Click the + New button and select Print checks.
  2. Choose Print setup.
  3. Select Voucher, then click No, continue setup.
  4. Click No, continue setup once again. This opens up the check in an alignment window where you can adjust the margins to correct the alignment:
  5. Make the necessary adjustments in the Horizontal and Vertical fields. Then, click Finish setup.
  6. After adjusting the grid, select View preview and print sample. Then select Print.
  7. Follow the on-screen steps to finish printing your sample check.

Aside from the steps I've shared, it's also recommended to use QuickBooks-compatible check stock to avoid alignment issues. You can find more details about pre-printed supplies on our Checks and Supplies website.
