Hello, @only4keepers. Thank you for raising your concern on the QuickBooks Community page.

How the details of your transactions are imported into QuickBooks depends on the third-party app that you're using. For now, the option to add the Shopify order number and notes field to the invoice is unavailable in the program.

As a workaround, I'd suggest adding these details in the Message on invoice section or creating separate custom fields to add this information.

Here's how to add custom fields:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Custom fields.
  2. Click Add field or Add custom field.
  3. Enter a name in the Name field.
  4. Select the All Sales forms.
  5. (Optional) To show the custom field on printed and delivered forms, turn on Print on form. Otherwise, it’ll only appear in QuickBooks Online.
  6. Click Save.

Once done, you can review each invoice that was imported from Shopify and manually add the Shopify order number and notes info.

Moreover, you can customize the appearance and layout of sales forms to decide what info your customers see and only add the info that matters most to your business.

If you have any further questions about managing imported transactions from Shopify, please add them to this thread, and I'd be happy to assist. Have a great day.
