How do I remove the Paypal and Venmo options from my invoices?

I understand the importance of removing PayPal and Venmo as payment options, dmbellis. 

 

If you're subscribed to QuickBooks Payments, we can't turn off the ability to pay online. We'll have to cancel your payment account to remove these options.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center as an admin user.
  2. Select the Account tab and then Account Profile.
  3. Click Close Account.
  4. In the Reason for closing drop-down menu, select a cause.
  5. When you're ready, click Submit.

 

Once we process your request, you'll get an email within one business day that confirms your account is closed. After that, you have one year to view and download your reports, statements, and tax forms.

Once done, make sure to record the payments processed outside QuickBooks to ensure your books are accurate.

I've been using bank transfers for a year. I can't continue to use bank transfers without offering Venmo and Paypal as options?

We appreciate your continued use of bank transfers as a payment option for the past year, dmbellis. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we value your feedback.

 

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can continue to use bank transfers as a payment option without using Venmo and Paypal. The availability of these options does not affect your ability to use bank transfers.

 

If you prefer to use bank transfers for your payments, you can continue to do so without any changes. Venmo and Paypal are just additional payment options that may be offered by some services, but they are not mandatory, and you can use the payment method that suits you best.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the +New button.
  2. Under Customers, choose Invoice.
  3. Select the customer from the drop-down arrow.
  4. Click the Product/Service.
  5. Enter the DescriptionQTYRate, and Amount.
  6. Put a checkmark beside the Bank transfer.
  7. Hit Save and send.
