I have an invoice that I've set up to automatically generate.  The customer no longer needs to receive an invoice for these services.  How do I stop it or delete it?  Thank you

Hi, achristieson.

Let me show you how to stop a recurring invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO), so your customer no longer receives a new transaction from you.

You can either Delete the recurring transaction or Edit the template to Unscheduled or Reminder type in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon on the top menu.
  2. Choose Recurring Transactions.
  3. If you’d like to delete the invoice template, click the Edit drop-down button and choose Delete.
  4. Click Yes to confirm.
  5. If you’d prefer to retain the template, click Edit.
  6. Change the Type to Unscheduled or Reminder.
  7. Click Save template.

For more information about this feature in QBO, check out this article: Create recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online.
