Question

How do I to create a single invoice identify property A received these products for these indiviuals and the cost. Then the same for property B and C and so forth.  Deb

I have a large property management company that I need to bill them but break it down by property. We were billing each property individually, but now I will bill the parent company and they will bill each prroperties budget. 



So I need to be able to create an invoice and say property A received these products for these indiviuals and the cost. Then the same for property B and C and so forth.  The current order is for 7 properties.  



I aksed Quickbooks they told me to make a suggestion and maybe they will make a future update.  



I can't imagine that someone hasn't created a custom invoice that can do this or has figured out a way to accomplish this, without having to bill each as a sub-company. 



Any help would be much appreciated.

Creating a single invoice for multiple customers isn't available in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Deb. Let me share some alternatives below.

 

In QBO, you can set up your other properties as a sub-customer to property A's profile. With this, you can simply bill them together with their parent customer. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Sales and click the Customers tab.
  2. Open your customer's profile.
  3. Select the Is a sub-customer checkbox. This action will display a parent customer dropdown menu.
  4. In the Parent customer ▼dropdown, choose your property A's account.
  5. Tap the Bill parent customer checkbox to bill the customer with the parent.
  6. Once done, hit Save.

However, you'll still be unable to create a single invoice for multiple sub-customers in the program. Thus, I recommend sending feedback to our product developers about having this option available. This way, they can review it and might consider implementing it in the future. Follow these steps to proceed:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Type in your feedback and product suggestions.
  4. Click Next to submit them.

I was familiar with creating the sub-company, but it unfortunately does not help my issue.  What I'm more than likely going to have to do is create a single invoice and then subtotal below each property, otherwise I'm still creating multiple invoices which is a pain. Thanks for the suggestions though.
