Quickbooks is only giving the option of sending an email to contractors to request them to complete the W9. I've already sent requests via Adobe and I have the W9s on file.

Welcome to the Community, Falaka.

I’m here to give you information on completing the W9 forms of your contractors in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

If you have already sent requests emails to your contractors to complete their W9 forms, all you need to do is wait for your contractors to finish filling up the forms.

After your contractor submits W-9 forms, you can view a copy of their form by completing the steps provided below:

  1. Go to Payroll, then click on Contractors.
  2. Choose which contractor.
  3. Select the Details tab to see the contractor's info and the Documents tab to see a copy of the W-9.

Check this article that discusses further information on how contractors add their tax form info in QBO: Invite a contractor to add their tax info.

Additionally, here’s an article that talks about what QBO payroll submits for you: Understand the taxes and forms that QuickBooks payroll submits for you.

Let me know if you have more questions about your W-9 forms in your QBO by leaving a comment below. I’m just a post away to assist you at any time.
