How do you create an Equity Account in Self-Employed?

Welcome to the Community, Doug. Allow me to share some information about the Accounts Chart in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

Chart of Account is currently unavailable in QBSE, this means that you can't add your own or custom categories. We're researching how we could approach dynamic categories while maintaining their main use as tax categories for tax forms. We need to do both to ensure your estimated taxes are accurate.

I recommend using the default accounts for now or you can check the QuickBooks Online program which offers a more flexible way of managing your accounts.
