I don't want any vehicle associated with my self-employed account.  I don't really use my car for business, so its not worth me tracking milage. And every year it is a nightmare on Turbotax because of the vehicle listed.  I want it removed

Hello there, Sweet.

I'll help you make the vehicle inactive with your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account. However, we don't have the option to totally remove the vehicle added from the list.

In QBSE, we can only make a vehicle inactive. Here's how:

  1. In your QBSE account, select the Gear icon.
  2. Next, select Vehicle info.
  3. Then, click the vehicle you want to remove.
  4. From there, select the Vehicle no longer in use button.

Once done, this will show under the Inactive section. If in case you're unable to see the button, might be that this is set to a Primary vehicle. You have to make other vehicles as primary to be able to make that particular vehicle inactive.

In addition, you can also read these articles for fixes in case you encounter issues with mileage tracking on your mobile device:

If you have more questions about managing your vehicles in QBSE, please don't hesitate to leave a reply in the comment section. I'm always here to help. Take care and stay safe.
