How do you print quantity on hand from a assembly build?

I also want to be able to print  and/or download  the "Quantity On Hand" column on the "Build Assemblies" screen.  I've contacted QB several times about adding that ability.   I put in the request last Fall.

If more people ask for an improvement, I believe that increases the chances of QB making the change.  I think you should also submit your request to QB.   I believe in QuickBooks you just go to "Help"  and there should be an option to submit feedback.

I understand how important it is to be able to see the Qty on Hand per item when printing your Build Assemblies in QuickBooks Enterprise (QBES). As of the moment, we're unable to see it directly in the print preview. Rest assured our product engineers are still working on it so they can add this to the latest feature release.

Meanwhile, you'll want to add a custom field using the define fields option on the assembly item. This way, the Qty on Hand  will show either as a header or a column when printing your build assemblies. Let me guide you how:

1. Go to the Lists menu at the top and tap Item List on the drop-down.

2. Find the assembly item and double-click to open its info.

3. Click the Custom Fields tab, then pick Define Fields.

4. Enter the name in the Label column and choose the Use check box, then hit OK.

Once you're done, put a check mark on Print/Screen so the added custom field will show on the transactions/forms as well. Here's how:

1. Go back to the Lists menu then choose Templates on the drop-down.

2. Find and Build Assembly template that you're using and double-click to open.

3. Tap Additional Customization.

4. On the Header /Column tab, check the Screen and Print box on the custom field you've added, then hit OK.
