How do you write a description on top of there new invoices ?

Welcome to the Community space, @flagduncan. We'll share details about the new invoice format in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and how you can add details to your items inside it.

Please know that the item's description is in the Product or Service section of the invoice. That said, the option to add them on the top of the invoice is not applicable. However, if you wish to add specific information in the upper portion of the invoice transaction, you'll want to check the Custom Field feature.
