Thank you for your inquiry about recurring invoicing in QuickBooks Online. I would be happy to explain how it works and how your invoices will be posted and delivered to your customers.

Recurring invoicing in QuickBooks Online (QBO) allows you to automate the process of creating and sending invoices to your customers on a regular basis. QuickBooks Online offers multiple ways to deliver the invoices to your customers, such as through email or downloading and sending them manually.

On the 20th of each month, QuickBooks Online will automatically generate the invoices based on the recurring invoice template you have set up. These invoices will be created and saved in the system. The recurring transaction creates a series of transactions according to the schedule you set. Here's how you can set it up:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click the Gear icon, then select Recurring transactions.
  3. On the page, select New and choose Invoice from the Transaction Type drop-down. Then, click OK.
  4. Enter the template name, then select Scheduled from the Type drop-down.
  5. Fill out the necessary information.
  6. Click Save template.

See this page for your guide: Schedule recurring transactions created with a template in QuickBooks Online.
