Question

How is it legal to be charged a fee for something I did not sign up for? I was charged for instant deposit but have never signed up for it.

Hello there. I'm here to provide insight into the charge fee that was charged for an instant deposit in QuickBooks Online (QBO) that you did not sign up for.

The reason for these charges on instant deposit is that there is an option in QuickBooks Online (QBO) where you can choose and use a specific customer payments feature under instant deposit. This feature may incur a fee, which can typically be seen during the sign-up process or in the terms and conditions.

If you're sure that you didn't sign up for the instant deposit feature, I recommend reviewing your account settings and transaction history. The charge may have been a result of a misunderstanding or an error.

To address this concern, I recommend contacting our Payments Support so that our payments team will be able to review your subscription and investigate this matter.

Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, select Help (?)
  2. Choose the Search tab.
  3. At the bottom of your screen, click Contact Us.
  4. Type your concern. Then click Continue
  5. You may choose CallbackAppointment, or Chat as your way to connect with us.
  6. Kindly fill out the provided field such as your First nameLast nameEmail address, and Phone number.
  7. Depending on what you choose as your way to connect with us, click CallbackSchedule appointment, or Chat.

This happened to me as well. I have absolutely no need for instant funding. My deposit account is well funded. I have never used instant deposit and I never will. I just noticed that instant deposit has been turned on for 3 months on my account, and I certainly never authorized this! If Quickbooks doesn't fix this we should consider a class action. Please contact me if you're interested [email address removed]
