How to find a customer by address.

The help site insists there's no way yet to search for a customer by address.  There IS a way!!  Go to Reports; select Customer Contact List; hit "Ctrl+F" (find).  A small box appears in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.  Type in the address or a portion thereof.  All matches will be highlighted.  Just scroll down to find them.

Ctrl + F is one of the best kept hidden secrets to use with QuickBooks Online.  It has a lot of different applications including finding a specific bank rule in a long list of rules, or my favorite is matching checks that are part of a deposit from the undeposited funds window. Here is a video demonstrating the process.

This is a fantastic tip. Ctrl+F really comes in handy in so many ways. You can even customize the columns that display on the Customer Contact List to find even more information. You can add columns for phone number, credit card expiration date, default payment method, and more!
