How to insert line item in between an already created line item vs at the bottom?

This is on an invoice that I am currently editing. i.e. if I am putting items chronologically and realize I left one out that I need to enter

Hello there!
 

I recognize the importance of fixing the line items in the invoice you've already created. However, the option to insert a line item between existing items is available to QuickBooks Plus and Advance users.
 

To do that, you need to switch back to the old invoice layout. However, this method is unavailable for users with Simple Start and Essentials subscription. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to +New.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. At the top right form, click Old layout.

Please note that this process is irreversible.
