How to invoice customer for credit card charge? On desktop you just click on customer to add but I don't see that option on the online version

Thank you for posting here in the Community space. Let me help you record a credit card charge in an invoice using QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QBO, you can create a service item if you want to have a credit card processing fee on your invoice. After that, manually add it to your invoice. Here's how:

  1. In Sales, go to Product & services.
  2. Click New and choose Non-inventory or Service.
  3. Have a name for the service item. (CC Fee is an example)
  4. In the Income account dropdown, choose the account you use to track the processing fees.
  5. If done, click Save and Close.

If you have created the service item, you can add it to your invoice as an additional item every time you charge your customers with the processing fee.

Once the invoice is paid, you can now receive and record invoice payments using QBO. For a guide, follow this article: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.
