How to prevent site from logging you out every hour? I put together an invoice that took 2 hours to gather information. And all of the information gone after logging back

I wish there was a way the site automatically saves your work every few minutes. I can't believe I have to redo this invoice again knowing it will take 2 hours to put together. What can I do to prevent the site from automatically logging me out again? I'm trying not to give up hope on using quickbooks for freelancing and easy tax calculation but somehow always finding problems.

    Thanks for visiting the Community today. I understand the need to have your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) automatically save your work after the system logs you out.

     

    As a workaround, you have the option to select Save and close your work after entering partial details on the invoice. That way, you can always come back to add some more and send it when it's done.

     

    In the meantime, I'm sharing your ideas with our engineers so they can take this into consideration in the future product updates.

    This wasn't solved because it just happened to me. Saving work automatically is a basic feature and its one that QuickBooks self employed doesn't have.

    I can certainly understand how an ability to change the timeout duration could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

     

    You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.

     

    Here's how:

     

    1. In the left navigation bar, go to Invoices.
    2. Click an invoice's Pencil (📝) icon.
    3. Use your Feedback option.
    4. Enter any feature requests/feedback in the What did you think? text box.
    5. If necessary, you can attach an image file.
    6. Hit Next.
    7. Enter your email address.
    8. Select Done.
