Warm greetings, roland. I've got the steps on how to save an invoice to a file.

Before anything else, could you please specify what file types you'll want to use to save your invoices?

At the moment, when downloading or saving invoices in QuickBooks Online, the only supported file format is PDF (Portable Document Format).

If you wish to save a created invoice as a PDF file, you can follow these steps:

  1. Hover to the Sales menu, then select Invoices.
  2. Locate the invoices you want to save and click Print.
  3. Hit the Download icon.

If you want to create a new invoice and save it as PDF, here's how:

  1. Hover to + New, then select Invoices
  2. Complete all necessary details.
  3. Click Print or Preview and hit Download

Moreover, to keep track of your invoices, it's essential that you record any payments received from your customers. By marking invoices as paid, you can ensure that your financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
