Hey there, @downeastmarineca. Glad to have you here in the Community.

To provide the best response, I'd like to gain some insight into your question. What type of file are you trying to upload into QuickBooks Self-Employed? Once I know this information, I can get you back to business in no time.

In the meantime, I recommend checking out our articles on QuickBooks Self-Employed to see if you can find the answer you're looking for.

Hi Michael K.,

I ended up using the trial version so I didn't have to upload the QBM file right away to begin the task that I needed. I saw you sent me a  link in another email but was not able to access it through the phone. Later I plan to try to access the link through my laptop.

Thanks!

Pamela

@downeastmarineca

There is no migration path for QBSE. You may be able to migrate from QB Desktop to QB Online.

Restore your QBM file on trial license of Pro 2020. If you couldn't restore it, your data file is too old. Call and ask Intuit Data Service to convert it. Should you need to resolve it in due course, consider purchasing a 3rd party conversion service.

Hope it helps.
