For example each time I create a JE in QBO I want QBs to automatically assign a sequential JE number

Hello there, ronny. Let me explain how the journal entry numbers work in QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks Online uses a numbering sequence for journal entries. It means that when you create a new entry, the system will automatically follow a predefined numbering sequence set for the transaction.

You can input your personalized or preferred number in the Journal no. field. Then, it will automatically increase by one each time you create a new entry.

I've attached a sample screenshot for visual reference.

Furthermore, you can reverse and delete a journal entry if you've created it by mistake. It ensures that your records are accurate. You can also generate a journal report to view a list of all your entries.

I can help you further whenever you need clarification and information with the journal entry numbering. You can comment down below. Best wishes!
