Question

I accepted the "UPDATES" to QB Desktop Pro 2023 and I hate that it completely changed my dashboard. How can I return to my version before installing the updates?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, @gilcrawford.

I'll be happy to provide information about returning the QuickBooks version you have before installing the updates.

In QuickBooks, there's no option to revoke the latest updates. However, if you have a backup file before the updates, you'll want to restore it so you can still use the previous version. Please be aware that our software developer releases updates in our product to add new features, fix bugs and issues with the previous version, and help improve the program.

Here's how:

  1. In your company file, go to the File menu and select Open or Restore Company.
  2. Select Restore a backup copy and then Next.
  3. Click Local Backup and then Next.
  4. Browse your computer for your backup company file. It should look like this: [Your company name].qbb.
  5. Choose a folder to decide where to save your restored company file. Then select Open.
  6. Then click Save when you're ready.

Please check out this article for reference: Restore a Backup of your Company file.
