Question

I am entering expenses, saving and then they don't show up. Why?It's as if QB didn't actually save them? What do I do about that?

I entered a Menards expense paid by credit card.  It does not show in my expense listing or checking register.  No where.

I'm here to help you show the transactions in the expenses tab in QuickBooks Online (QBO), lorisnyder.

Here's how:

  1. On the left panel, go to Expenses.
  2. Ensure to filter the appropriate Type and Date.
  3. Click Apply.

However, if the issue persists, there might be a problem with your current browser causing this behavior. We can open your account in a private window. This mode doesn't save your search histories and would help us isolate the problem.

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you're able to see the expenses, you can go back to the main browser, then clear the cache to refresh it.

In addition, you can check out this article in case you want to run and save a monthly expense report by vendor: Run a report in QBO.

If you have additional concerns with expenses, feel free to come back to us. We're here to assist you 24/7.
