I've got your back, and I'll ensure you create an invoice with the correct date in QuickBooks Online (QBO),
tdcwheelrepair-y.

In this case, the date did not change after editing your preferred invoice date. I recommend using a private browser to rule out any browser-related issues. We can log in to your account using an incognito browser. Private browser prevents saving cache and cookies that sometimes cause errors when running frequently visited websites. Here are the useful shortcut keys you can use to access one:

  • Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge
  • Command + Shift + N for Safari

Once done, create an invoice with the correct date again. Just make sure we click the Save and closeSave and new, or Save and send button to completely save a transaction in QBO.

If it works, return to your default browser and clear its cache. Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate. Switching to another compatible one to help rectify the issue.

You can set up automated invoice reminders to be sent to customers before or after their payment is due. It can help you stay on top of your invoicing process and ensure timely payments. Additionally, once you receive the payment for your invoices, it's important to record it in QBO to ensure your accounts are balanced. It will allow you to keep track of which invoices have been paid and which are still outstanding. Check out this article for detailed steps: Record invoice payments.
