It's good to see you here in the Community space, dvdhanna. Let me help you retrieve your 2022 W-2 copies.

QuickBooks Online lets you archive payroll forms after submitting them. Viewing your tax forms depends on whether you choose to e-file the form or print and file manually.

Here's how if you e-filed the form:

1. Select Taxes, then Payroll Tax.

2. Select the Filings tab.

3. View your current tax forms in the ACTION NEEDED or COMIN UP section. Or select Resources, then Archived forms and filings for past forms

  • If available, select Preview to view forms not yet filed.

You can follow these steps if you forgot to archive the tax form:

1. Go to Taxes, then Payroll tax.

2. Select Filings.

3. Click Resources, then W-2s.

4. Review the list of employees who opted for a printed copy.

  • W-2s won't print for employees who selected paperless. They can print their copy from QuickBooks Workforce if needed.

5. If your automated taxes and forms setting is Off: review your Form W-2 setting. Select the Change setting to change the paper type if needed.

6. Click View or Manage on the copy you need:

  • W-3 Summary Transmittal of Wage and Tax Statements
  • W-2, Copies B, C & 2 (employee)
  • W-2, Copies A & D (employer)

7. Select View and print.

8. Click the Print icon on the Adobe Reader toolbar, then select Print.

If you're still unable to locate the archived forms, I'd recommend contacting our  Customer support team. This way, they can help you get a copy of the tax form.
