Question

I am new to QBO and am stuck at the "add a shortcut" bar to the left. I am done and need it to close. I do not have the +New button at the top left because of it.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, Gthomas. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to ensure you can access the + New button in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Before that, are you referring to the + Add a bookmark option? If so, we can zoom out of the screen to display the + New button. To do that, press the Ctrl and buttons on your keyboard simultaneously.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend signing in to your QBO account in an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a browser problem. Please use the following keyboard shortcuts: 

 

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

 

Once you have signed in, please check if you are able to access the + New button. If yes, return to your original browser to clear its cache or switch to a different compatible one.

 

We'd also appreciate it if you could provide us with a screenshot of your screen so we can have a visual of the issue and provide more appropriate troubleshooting steps.
