I am using Quickbooks Online. I need to import a QBM file to Quickbooks Online. It must first be converted to an EXCEL or CSV file. How do I do that?

Hello jen,

The QBM file is a portable company file. You can still import that file to QuickBooks Online. You'll have to open that file in your QuickBooks Desktop, and just follow the usual export process. Here's the article with detailed steps: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1145375. However, there are import limitations. Check this article out: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1145236.

Let me know if you need something else. Have a great day!

What if you cant download into desktop because your desktop isn't right version? My accountant sent to me and My version is older than hers.

hi @htsw ,

You can use QB 2019 Pro Trial License or QBES 2019 Trial license to convert QBM to QBW prior importing it into QBO.
