Question

I attempted to make my 941 payment as usual, received the statement that my QB Payroll account is not set up - I called and was told there is an issue. How do I pay?

I checked and my payroll account has the proper information - I was told that QB is having an issue and they would get back to me.  I have not received any information yet.  Anyone else having this issue?

Hi there, Sheryl. We have details to help you pay your Form 941 to complete your tasks inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Since you're unable to pay and file it inside the program, you can manually file it to your state agency in the meantime. But before doing so, you may want to access and export the data you need as a reference when paying Form 941. We'll write down the steps below to get you going:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to the Reports tab.
  3. In the Search bar, enter the name of the report you want to export.
  4. Enter the necessary customizations and click Run report button.
  5. Beside the Print icon, click the Download or Export icon.

You can check this page to help you find your state agency: Access state agency websites for payroll.

We also recommend contacting our Customer Care Team so they can check your payroll account status and investigate why you're unable to pay Form 941. Please see this page for more information: Contact Payroll Support.

In addition, here are some articles to help you keep your current report settings and see checklist for this year's payroll:

We look forward to having you here again if you need further assistance managing payroll forms and taxes inside the program. Feel free to visit us anytime so we can help you with your queries. Stay safe.
