Question

I can’t find the Receipt Scanner…it’s not where any of these articles is saying it should be. Did something change?

I thought this was supposed to be easy. I went into my QuickBooks app, went into transactions, and then went searching for the receipt scanner only to see nothing. It’s disappointing because there articles written saying where it’s supposed to be but it’s not there.

Hello there, heather. I'd be delighted to clarify things about QuickBooks Online's (QBO) receipt snap feature.

 

The receipt snap feature is still available in QBO Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced versions. It can be accessed from the app's main page and the Menu tab.

 

If you still can't locate the feature, we can refresh the data within the app or from the settings menu on your mobile app. This refreshes the application to remove the older cache that causes some unusual behavior. If the issue persists, I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the QBO mobile app. This will allow you to use the app on a clean slate.

 

On the other hand, since you mentioned using a QBO app, what specific version of QuickBooks are you using? QB Solopreneur can also be accessed within the software, but please note that this subscription doesn't support the receipt snap.
